Thank You!

Because Stampin' Up! made the decision to stop supporting My Digital Studio, the MDS Monday Design Team has decided to stop our weekly challenges.  However, we know there are lots of you out there who still have My Digital Studio software on your computers and want to continue using it!  Therefore, we'll keep this site up so you can use it for inspiration.  There are 115 weeks of challenges on this site, including many great sketches, and examples from the Design Team and our talented participants.  To easily see all the MDS Monday sketches, go to Heidi's Pinterest Board.

Speaking of which, I would like to thank Holly and Tara for starting this great site, as well as all the designers that have contributed to the weekly challenges, including Heidi, Beth, Rochelle, Joan, Cindy, Yapha, Jeanna, and Anita!  You're all amazingly talented, and I feel so lucky to have been selected to be part of the group and to call you my friends.  For continued inspiration by the Design Team, click on our photos on the side bar to go to our individual blogs.

If you are looking for alternative software to MDS, click on the Software Options tab above.  We also have information on Printing Options on another tab.

Additionally, don't forget to back up your MDS information before Stampin' Up! shuts down its digital sites on June 9, 2015.  Click on the Videos / How To tab above to see critical cut off dates and written and video instructions on backing up.

Finally, if you're looking for ongoing community support or inspiration for using digital software in the future, there are several great FaceBook Groups you might consider, including Simply My Digital Studio Challenge and PLxSU Trio Challenge. ~ Tami

Weekly Winners MDSM115

Thanks to everyone who participated in "Our Favorite Things" challenge!  It was so fun to see everyone's favorite downloads, especially because a lot of them were my favorites too!  Looking at your pages was like traveling down memory lane.  In addition, the quality of pages this week was outstanding!!!  I've never had such a hard time picking winners.  In fact, you're all winners in my book!  Thank you again for creating with us and sharing your inspirational pages.  I have enjoyed making so many virtual digi-friends from this site!  Love, Tami

 Here are this week's picks:

Wendie Waldman
Wendie's page really touched me.  I remember reading Gone With the Wind as a teenager and going to a re-release of the movie with my sister; and this page brought back all those wonderful memories.  I love that Wendie included pictures from the movie, as well as a picture of Margaret Mitchell on her page, and I adore the vintage color scheme.  Outstanding job Wendie! ~ Tami

Sharon Maranich
Sharon's Inkie Fingers
This page is simply gorgeous, from the background photo, to the soft colors, and the beautiful leaf swirls that Sharon used to frame the page.  This just goes to show that simple pages can be absolutely stunning!  ~ Tami

I love the page my mom designed this week as well!  The purple and white background she created, with the subtle flowers and watercolor wash, makes the colors pop in these gorgeous photos.  She's been my most avid (and favorite) student from day one, and I'm so incredibly proud of how accomplished she's become (at age 78!)  This is just another lovely, lovely page.  ~ Tami

Thanks to everyone who participated!

MDSM 115 - Our Favorite Things!

This is our last weekly challenge for MDS Monday!  It's SO hard to even type those words.  All of the designers here at MDS Monday want to thank everyone who's participated in our challenges.  We've enjoyed seeing your wonderful, creative designs.  It's been so much fun to play with you each week.  However, because Stampin' Up! will no longer be supporting My Digital Studio after June 9, 2015, we will no longer be posting challenges after this week.

The Stampin' Up! digital store will close on June 2, so you only have a little more than a week to peruse all the great downloads and buy any last minute items.  Therefore, for our last challenge, I thought it would be fun to have an open challenge to create a page sharing your favorite download(s).  Be sure to tell us which download you featured and why it's your favorite.

Note:  We added two great resource pages to the MDS Monday site.  They include Software Options and Printing Options.  Also, I've been adding information to the Videos / How To tab about backing up MDS as I've learned more tips.

Challenge Guidelines:

  • Please create a new MDS project for the current challenge.
  • Provide a link back to MDS Monday or use the challenge graphic above within your post.
  • Link directly to your post or mydigitalstudio.net sample page for this challenge, not your entire website (So we can find your project)
  • You can create a card, scrapbook page or 3-D object with the sketch.
  • The Challenge will end on Saturday May 30th  @ 12pm EST.
  • Have fun!

MDSM 114 - An Amazing Ride!

Hello everyone! It's Cindy here. Life has been super crazy and this roller coaster called life continues. I wanted to share a page that I made two years ago that changed my creative life. I made a similar page for the Stampin' UP Artisan Design Team Application. I knew that My Digital Studio HAD to be part of my application and this page is probably the one I am most proud of. So I made a sketch layout of it for you. Use it as you like. Add more to it. Change the background or use a different stamp as the focal point. Make photo boxes with mat. Just have fun creating in MDS! The end is near and I find myself sad and yet thankful for this amazing ride with MDS after all these years. Thank you Stampin' UP for making a great digital program!

  • The Challenge will end on Saturday May 23rd @ 12pm EST.
  • Have fun!

Weekly Winners MDSM113

A big thank you to everyone for participating in our challenge this week!  I loved to see all the different ways we came up with to add some visual interest to our pages and it really helps me see all the different options we have in our stamps and embellishments!  I really enjoyed seeing everyone's take on the sketch and challenge!  I hope you were all inspired by each other as well!

 Here are this week's picks:

Tanya Harvey
Tanya's Stamps & Things
I really love the wonderful family photos on Tanya's page and how they are really made special on her page.  The colors are soft and pretty and the background is just lovely, the scattering of flowers in the corner are a fine touch.

Wendie Waldman

I really like the starburst image behind the photos on Wendie's page.  It really draws the eye to the photos and adds some fun visual interest to the whole page!

Thanks to everyone who participated!
Be sure to come back tomorrow for our new challenge!

MDSM 113 - Visual Interest

Hello Everyone!  Beth here with this week's sketch.  Today I would like you to think of something you can add to your page to add some visual interest, but do not use splatter.  I love splatter, but I think I forget about the other stamps that I have that could also create that visual interest.  I challenge you to find stamps that you don't normally use, such as the triangles I used in my page.  Look for things such as mini flowers, small shapes, hearts, raindrops, or any small scattering of stamps.  I can't wait to see what you find!  Hopefully we will find lots of different things so we can all get some great ideas!
